The žabljak fishing season is on – get your hooks ready! The fly fishing club „Budućnost“ is warning fishermen to strictly adhere to the Law and by-laws on freshwater fishing.
The club’s board, which is located in Podgorica, announced that the fishing season will officially begin on May 1st and last until October 1st, 2018, on Vražije Lake, Riblje Lake, and Zminičko Lake.
The classic fishing is allowed on Lake Vražije, from 1 pm until 7 pm, with with the pre-purchased daily, monthly or annual license. “It is allowed to catch fish longer than 30 centimeters”, the statement said.

They also point out that for the first time, the territory of the municipality of Žabljak opened two fly fishing zones on Riblje and Zminičko Lake.
“In these lakes, during the same period, also from 1 pm to 7 pm, it is permitted to perform sport and recreational fishing with a daily license, exclusively with muffler accessories (fly fishing equipment) on one fly or string without a back hook, under the system” Catch and let go””
